Computer Technology (Maintenance & Repair)
Instructor: Dan Bark
My name is Daniel Bark and I have been the instructor of the Computer Technology program at IVVC since 2007. I am an IVVC alumni of the Drafting and Design program. I graduated from Sandwich High School and Waubonsee Community College, where I obtained my Associates Degree in Industrial Technologies. I also attained my Microsoft Office professional certification. My technology career started at FermiLab in Batavia where I was a technician for 9 years. My job was installing and maintaining data collection computers. I also worked at DePaul University in Chicago as a network and telecom tech and Castle Bank Group Inc. managing helpdesk support and acting as the lead tech for nine years. I opened my own business, Custom Computer Repair Service, in Sandwich, Illinois. Teaching Computer Technology is the most rewarding of all the career stops I have had. I enjoy helping people and preparing students for life and careers that lie ahead.
