Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #3In our IVVC Construction Trades class we are currently working on building a house in a subdivision called Dutch Acres in Sandwich, IL. At the job site we have learned basic framing, roofing, and electrical skills, as well as how to properly use tools safely and productively. After having completed building another house last year, we gained a multitude of knowledge in the construction of residential houses. We also get to work with different companies that are involved with the construction industry.
IVVC has been a great experience for us. We all joined this class because we like working with our hands and like working to overcome challenges. Many of us want to find a career in the trades, and even for those of us who don't, the skills we learned in this class will surely help us in the future.
