Auto Tech - A First Year Students Perspective
Auto Technology has taught me how to change a tire, change oil in the car, how to use a scan tool and how to do brakes. In class, we would practice taking the brakes off and then we would put them back on and make sure they were up to specks. We worked on dismounting and remounting tires as well as how to balance them.
I decided to join Auto Tech at IVVC because I am very into cars and want to learn more about them. From a young age I have liked cars and it got even bigger as life went on. My plan for the future is to go to Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby and continue to take the automotive program there. After that I’m planning to get an internship with Midas. Then after I finish all of my schooling, I plan on working at a car shop or a dealership and then maybe one day open my own shop.
